Challenge:
When a member, moderator, or designer says to masses, I challenge you to do this, just for fun. It’s not a contest, just something fun for everyone to participate in. Normally prizes are not given out, however from time to time the challenge issuer may give out incentive gifts for anyone who participates.
Chat
Gathering together in the chatroom for a crop, or get to know others by “chatting”
Template
Usually program specific and all the papers and elements are on their own layer. You can move things around. Using a clip mask to create your own layout.
Sketch
A low-resolution black and white drawing, showing a basic "layout" of a page style.
Quick page
A layout already completed with embellishments. Only missing the photo which may be layered onto the completed page.

Computer terms may be program specific
GIF
Graphics Interchange Format, a file extension with 256 colors and supports transparencies
JPEG, JPG
Joint Photographic Experts Group, a file extension supporting a broad range of subtle colors specifically for photographs. Smaller file size due to image compression. This type of file can degrade your image.
PNG
Abbreviation for: Portable Network Graphics. A digital file type that supports full color and transparency. Great for scrapbookers! This is also the native file format for DIP. Format for most quick pages.
PSD
native file format for Photoshop and Photoshop Elements
